The Daves were once a single and all powerful entity known as DDDAAAAVVVEEEE but realising this was unfair on all the mere mortals was cruelly spliced into 5 pieces by a right horrible bastard. The result was five Daves of various shapes and sizes who couldn’t work out what to do so they got a band and that was it

SUPERfreak

Ms. Dynamite certainly thought so when she personally watched them perform live in the final of the Pepsi Urban Sounds competition in London, 2004. Yes, their sound is tight, irresistibly energetic and highly entertaining. Yes, their shows are filled to the brim with effortless showmanship, supreme stage presence, dazzling dynamics and fierce funk chops! Whether treading the boards in the intimacy of a small club or upstaging a battalion of pop muppets in front of 25,000-strong festival throng, as they did after winning the 2004 West Yorkshire Battle of the Bands, their ability to woo the crowd is truly awe-inspiring.
